Secure Connection SimplyOz Blog: Beer & Vegemite Marinated Steak

Serves 6

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 4-8 minutes


1 tablespoon VEGEMITE

One-half cup of beer

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons seeded mustard

1 tablespoon white vinegar

2 teaspoon finely chopped rosemary

6 fillet or porterhouse steaks, BBQ mushrooms and corn, for serving, Salad, for serving


1. COMBINE the VEGEMITE with the beer, sugar, mustard, vinegar and rosemary to form a marinade. Pour over the steaks and marinate for 1-2 hour in the refrigerator.

2. BARBECUE the steaks on an oiled grill over a high heat for 2-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.

3. TOP the steaks with mushrooms and serve with corn and salad. Serve immediately.
