Ginger Nut
Ginger Nuts are one of Arnott's most unique products. That's because we make four slightly different Ginger Nuts to suit the tastes of people in different states. There's a story behind this. We used to have different bakeries in different states, each making a Ginger Nut biscuit that the locals loved. When Arnotts became a national company we looked at the possibility of selling one Ginger Nut nationally. But each time we tested it, people told us that they preferred their homegrown variety. So now in Queensland, Ginger Nuts are thin and sweet, with a dark colour. In New South Wales they are small, thick and hard, with a light colour. In Victoria and Tasmania, they are bigger, softer and sweeter. While in South and Western Australia, the biscuits look similar to their Victorian cousins, but taste sweeter. No matter what State you are in, Arnotts Ginger Nuts have to be the best biscuits to dunk in your cuppa. And they have been since 1906.

A delicate pastry biscuit, perfect for desserts, Lattice have been a favourite since the 1950s. The process used to bake these biscuits is very particular. It requires special, fine flour, which is kept separate from all the other biscuit flour used at the bakery. The dough is gently rolled into very fine sheets, just like puff pastry, and the biscuits are glazed with a sprinkle of sugar before being baked. Our special baking process ensures that each biscuit has a light, fluffy texture every time

Scotch Finger
Arnott's Scotch Finger is the most popular plain sweet biscuit in Australia. Australians enjoy around 180 million Scotch Fingers each year and this figure is continuing to grow. Scotch Finger is also one of Arnott's oldest biscuits. It was introduced in 1906, as 'Kiel Finger', the German word for a ships keel. This referred to Arnott's early business of providing long-life dry biscuits for ships sailing from Newcastle. The name was then changed prior to the outbreak of World War 1, with the rise of Australian patriotism. The current biscuit has changed little from William Arnott's original recipe, which he brought with him from Scotland when he emigrated in 1847. Scotch Finger has traditionally been considered the biscuit to have with a 'cuppa' and is ideal to break and dunk. The biscuit has a lovely melt-in-the-mouth texture, which is the result of our bakers using a combination of butter, eggs, condensed milk and a special soft flour.

Milk Arrowroot
AMilk Arrowroot was launched in 1888 and has been a staple for Australian families ever since. Today more than 250 million biscuits are eaten in Australia each year. At the turn of the last century arrowroot was a common source of starch, so this biscuit was seen as a good food for young, growing children. Milk Arrowroot soon became the food of choice for Australian mothers and their children as it was easily digestible. It was often crushed and served with milk as a way to start babies on solids. Then as kids grew up, it was packed as a sandwich in school lunch boxes. Milk Arrowroot remains a source of energy and contains natural ingredients including milk and flour.

Ann Nida on Tuesday, December 04, 2007:
I was thrilled to find this site and even more pleased when I placed an order and it arrived the very next day. The Anzac Bsicuits are delicious as are all the other goodies that I've missed from home. I've since bought more to give to my American friends here in Washington.

Thank you for providing great products with excellent service.

Cheers from Ann (originally from the Gold Coast)
